Every Thursday is "Show and Share" in Maddy's classroom. They are supposed to bring something in that starts with the letter and/or theme they are discussing that week. Matt and I have tried to make this a week long thing. We talk about it each night, quiz Maddy on her letter and words that start with the letter, etc. This week the letter is "K" and the theme is what they want to be when they grow up. Maddy wanted to take an item for each. She took her tea kettle from her tea set to represent the letter "K". And for the theme of what she would like to be when she grows up.....Butterfly wings. Maddy May would like to be a butterfly when she grows up.
The type A in me really wanted to send her to school with a law book or a stethoscope but that is not currently her dream :) For now, we will work toward the goal of butterfly!
